This is where I collect my random thoughts/aphorisms. To my knowledge, they’re original (mostly) though they have been shaped by my interactions with people, the world and writers who have come before me. When I was writing The Target, my research into unions reminded me of the importance the union movement has played in society, and needs to play in the future.

This aphorism has come from different one - ignorance isn’t bliss, it’s ignorance.
In order to tell the truth you must know the truth
This is an aphorism focused on the media and politicians. It sounds simple, but what if you don’t know that you don’t know the truth?
Every answer provided by the status quo, reinforces the status quo
Expecting the status quo to do anything other than maintain the status quo makes little sense.
Surveillance turns people into actors
Think of Winston Smith in 1984. Think of yourself if you were being interviewed by a TV crew. Think how you would behave if there was a surveillance camera in bedroom.
It takes little to turn democracies into former democracies
This concept is simple - democracy is fragile
