Ignorance is bliss for a small number of wealthy people

This aphorism has come from different one - ignorance isn’t bliss, it’s ignorance. I rethought it when following New Zealand politics and realise that for a small group, ignorance works - at least in the short term. Ignorance allows them to make a lot of ignorant statements.

Be careful though, as Tarantino’s character in Reservoir Dogs Nice Guy Eddie observed - ‘just because they say it, now that don't necessarily make it fucking so.’
