Not Voting is a vote for the Status Quo

I wrote an article about why New Zealand should have compulsory voting. During it I thought, if people don’t vote, it is, in effect, a vote for those currently in power. It’s weaker than that, but the effect is the similar.

Be careful though, as Tarantino’s character in Reservoir Dogs Nice Guy Eddie observed - ‘just because they say it, now that don't necessarily make it fucking so.’
